PRESENT SIMPLE: QUESTIONS & NEGATIONS

De werkwoorden to be en to have got zijn uitzonderingen op de standaardregel.

Normaal gesproken gebruiken we het werkwoord to do om vraagzinnen en ontkenningszinnen te maken.

Het werkwoord to do wordt als volgt vervoegd:

• I / you / we / they DO
• He / she / it DOES

PRESENT SIMPLE: QUESTIONS

Bij vragen zetten we een passende vorm van het werkwoord to do vooraan de zin.

I feel good. -> Do you feel good?

He looks happy. -> Does he look happy? 

Let op: omdat we het werkwoord to do vervoegen voor he / she / it (does), zetten we het andere werkwoord in de volledige werkwoordsvorm. Looks -> look

PRESENT SIMPLE: NEGATIONS

Bij ontkenningen zetten we een passende vorm van het werkwoord to do + not tussen het persoonlijk voornaamwoord / onderwerp en het werkwoord.

I feel good. -> I do not / don't feel good.

He looks happy. -> He does not / doesn't look happy.

Let op: omdat we het werkwoord to do vervoegen voor he / she / it (does), zetten we het andere werkwoord in de volledige werkwoordsvorm. Looks -> look

PRESENT SIMPLE: QUESTIONS & NEGATIONS

Maak vraagzinnen en ontkenningszinnen. Schrijf het op in je schrift.

1. They write e-mails every day.
2. You watch a lot of TV.
3. He reads the newspaper.
4. She is good at dancing.
5. You drink a lot of tea.
6. He has got a nice car.
7. They like vegetables.
8. She catches a cold every winter.

• Ask them about school: favorite subjects, friends, activities etc. (look it up in the word list on p. 131)
• Write down at least 3 interview questions each
• Done? Take turns asking each other your questions
• Make sure you give your answers in FULL sentences (not just 'yes' or 'no')
