Individually read and study your chosen poem for 15 minutes.

Talk to your classmate for 5 minutes and compare and contrast the book that you have already read with the poem that you have just studied. Examine the two literary works via a thematic link in order to elaborate on their similarities and differences.

You must include:
* A claim – are the book and poem similar or dissimilar?;

* 2 arguments – 1 argument pertaining to the book and 1 argument pertaining to the poem;
* An explanation of the similarities and dissimilarities;
* Proof of the similarities and dissimilarities;
* A reformulation of your claim;
* Relevance – why does it matter?
