- Give it to another person who expands it to 40 words

- The next person expands it to 200 words

- The story is returned to its owner

Best story

You're going to write a collective story. Choose a title and write one sentence. When the teacher tells you, you hand it to the next person who adds a sentence. You do this until the story has made it full circle and is returned to you. 

Famous lines

Dialogue isn't exclusive: characters may say the same things, but mean something entirely different in the context of the scene. Pick one of the below famous lines from literature and film. 

"Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn."

"Made it, Ma! Top of the world!"

"You're gonna need a bigger boat."

"Oh, don't let's ask for the moon. We have the stars."

"Go ahead. Make my day."

Start a scene by having a character say it. Develop the scene that follows in 500-600 words and see where it takes your characters. Post  it in Teams.
