Er zijn drie verschillende manieren waarop je kunt zeggen dat iets moet.

- Must, Have to & Should/ought to

* Ought to is formeel en de betekenis is iets sterker.

Should/ought to - zou(den) eigenlijk moeten

You shouldn't eat too much sugar.

Present Simple
- Als iets altijd, nooit of regelmatig gebeurt.
- Signaalwoorden: always, never, often, usually, regularly, sometimes, hardly ever

I always eat breakfast.
We never go to school by bus.

Present Perfect
Je gebruikt de Present Perfect als:
1. Iets in het verleden is gebeurd en het niet belangrijk is wanneer.
2. Iets in het verleden is begonnen en nog steeds doorgaat. (Since, for, in)
3. Iets in het verleden is gebeurd waarvan je nu het resultaat ziet.
4. Iets net of iets nog niet is gebeurd. (Just, lately, recently, yet)

- Have/Has + Voltooid Deelwoord
- Bij regelmatige werkwoorden eindigt het op -ed
- Onregelmatige werkwoorden hebben een eigen vorm
* SHIT-S: Bij she/he/it gebruik je has.

Je gebruikt de Present Continuous als iets nu aan de gang is.
In de zin staan woorden als: now, right now, at the moment



- To be (am/are/is) + WW + ing



I am playing a game.
I am not playing a game.
