Again today you are invited to take part in a range of activities to support a better understanding of the past tense.

The past tense of regular verbs is made by adding -d (loved) or -ed (walked) to the base form of the verb, while those of irregular verbs are formed in various ways.

                   see→saw, go→went, be→was/were
