Present simple

• Je gebruikt de present simple/tegenwoordige tijd om te praten over:
• feiten
• gewoonten
• dingen die regelmatig gebeuren

Present simple

• Je maakt de tegenwoordige tijd door de stam van het werkwoord te gebruiken.
• I walk to school every day.
• He/she/it krijgt een -s achter de stam.
• Ice melts at 100  C.

Present continuous

• Je gebruikt de present continuous/duurvorm van de tegenwoordige tijd om te zeggen dat:
• Iets nu aan de gang is.
• om irritatie uit te drukken.

Present continuous

• Je maakt de present continuous door:
• To be + ww + -ing
• I am
• You are
• he/she/it is
• we are 
• they are

Present continuous

• Je maakt de present continuous door:
• To be + ww + -ing
• I am teaching
• Sven is listening to music.
• My sister is always kicking me.

The difference

• They have to wear a school uniform.
• Zij moeten een school uniform dragen = feit
• They are wearing a school uniform. 
• Zij dragen een school uniform = nu
