Book assignment
Option 1: Pitch. 
  • Tell me which book you read and why you chose this certain book. 
  • Summarize the plot and setting of your book. Think about (WH-questions). 
  • Tell us your favourite part of the book. 
  • Tell us your opinion and why you would recommend or wouldn't recommend it to others. 
Use at least 5 theme words. 

Your pitch must be 3-4 minutes long and should be held in class.

Option 2: Alternative end. 
  • Tell me which book you read and why you chose this certain book.
  • Write an alternative end to your book. 
  • Record yourself reading your alternative end out loud. 
  • Also explain the relation to the alternative end and the plot of the book itself. 
Include at least 5 theme words (page 76). 

The recording must be 3-4 minutes long, using camera as well. 
If you don't like to be on camera you can pitch your alternative end in class.

Option 3: Come up with an additional character. 
  • Tell me which book you read and why you chose this certain book. 
  • Think of an extra character who fits in the plot of your book.
  • Tell me the name, age, character traits and include a drawing or picture which resembles this new character. 
  • Explain why you chose this new character and how he/she/they fit in the plot of your book. 
Include at least 5 theme words (describing people and social interactions). 

Your recording must be 3-4 minutes long, using camera as well. 
If you don't like to be on camera you can pitch your new character in class.
