This task focuses on

You will practise identifying implicit information to get the higher grades, but what does this mean?

'implicit'

Look up the definition of 'implicit' and write it in your own words ! Include an example if you can. 

Implied information

= what is meant, but not directly written or spoken

e.g. Juana habla español, inglés, francés y japonés. Ella va de vacaciones a España, Francia, Costa Rica, Japón, Australia, y a muchos otros países.

Based on this information, we can say that Juana speaks a lot of languages, although that's not directly written, is it? 

What else can we say about Juana based on this information?

Purpose of this assignment

• The purpose of this short assignment is to practice the grammar and use of the verbs SER and TENER 

It's important that you TO WATCH with attention to the videos 

• The results will give you a good insight into what you need to learn and practice (or not)

We will watch and do quizzes you will do are about two of the most used verbs in Spanish: tener (to have) and ser (to be).

We have already studied both verbs in units 1 and 2, see your book Mira 1, page 44 for tener and 48 for ser.

Verbo SER (to be)

The verb SER (to be) is irregular in Spanish. 

Ejemplos: 

"Soy inglés/a"  (I am English)

"Soy alto/a" (I am tall)

In the following slides, you will write some sentences in Spanish. 

Do not use personal pronouns: yo, tú, él, etc. 

For example "I am thirteen years old" 

would be "tengo trece años " and NOT "yo tengo trece años"
