Introduction week - Welcome class!

Rules of the game

1. We respect everyone in this class and work together (that includes the teachers as well!)

2. Zero-tolerance to bullying

3. No phone use during the lesson (unless I say so)

4. Make sure to always have your school material with you!

5. When you're sick or running late, hit me up: brewsterm1@talnet or [e-mail]

6. Always participate in class, don't stay quiet. It's okay to make mistakes! That's how we learn!

7. Never leave the classroom messy. So, make sure to pick up your trash and throw it away.

8. Do not disturb the classroom when were busy with an assingment! Always raise your hand if you have a question.

9. Always complete your assignments on time!

10. Raise your hand when you want to give the correct answer to a question!

What are you going to learn? 

• The goal of the English lesson is to teach you the following: Communication and (technical & general) vocabulary.
• You'll be tested on your communicative skills, such as:

1. Reading
2. Listening
3. Speaking 
4. Writing 
5. Vocabulary/Grammar (sub-skills)

What do you need for English?

In this class, we'll be working a lot with different programs. Therefore, you'll need 

• Laptop
• Earpieces/headset/AirPods 
• English reader
• Pen or pencil 
• Syllabus

Next week you'll get your copy in class. So, just bring a laptop and the earpiece/ headset or AirPods to every class. 

Icebreaker game

In this icebreaker, each participant takes a turn to share three things about themselves: Two things that are true, and one that is a lie. The rest of the team then must guess which of the three facts is the lie!

1) The first time I played in a baseball time, I got hit with a curve ball on my mouth.

3) I once saw the Dutch Prime minister just riding his bike
