Plural = meervoud

Regel voor meervoud = woord + s

               1 dog - 3 dogs

Bij woorden die eindigen op een medeklinker + y

                            

                     -y verdwijnt en wordt  +ies

                 

  1 bunny                            4 bunnies

woorden die eindigen op een klinker + y

                            

       krijgen alleen een +s

          

  1 boy                              3 boys

      woorden die eindigen op een s-klank

                            

                                     krijgen +es

                 

  1 dress                           4 dresses

 woorden die eindigen op een t + o

                            

                              krijgen +es

                 

   1 tomato                       4 tomatoes

Bij woorden die eindigen op een f of fe

                            

                     f/fe verdwijnt en wordt +ves

                 

     1 leaf                           4 leaves

Soms verandert de spelling:
