1. can & can't - om te zeggen dat iemand iets (niet) kan
2. could & couldn't - om te zeggen dat iemand iets (niet) zou kunnen 
3. Bij vragen stellen is beginnen met Could beleefder.
   

Gebiedende wijs (imperative)

• Hoe? Begin met het werkwoord: Watch out!
• Hoe als iemand iets niet moet doen? Dan begin je met?
