The skin
The skin has 3 main layers:
Epidermis: 
Partly dead cells (corneal layer) that get refilled from the basal layer. 
Dermis: 
This is the layer where all the senses and other important parts are. 
Subcutaneous connective tissue:
Here, fat is stored which keeps you warm and protects your body.

Tasting
The sensory organ for taste is your tongue. Taste buds are located on here, which consist of taste receptors. There are 5 different taste receptors: sweet, sour, savory, bitter and umami.
You not only taste with your tongue, but also with your nose!
