Bij meeste bijvoegl. naamwoorden met 1 lettergreep: 

Voeg -er toe aan het bijv. nmw.:  

Senne is loud but Kayleigh is louder than Senne.

Bij bijvoegl. naamwoorden met 3 lettergrepen of meer:

Voeg 'more' of 'less' toe aan het bijv. nmw.:

Senne is intelligent but Kayleigh is more intelligent than Senne.

Overtreffende trap

Tussen drie of meer mensen of dingen

Superlative

Voeg -est -> bij meeste bijvoegl. nmw. met 1 of 2 lettergrepen  

Ronald is the greatest man of them all.

Bij bijvoegl. naamwoorden met 3 lettergrepen of meer:'most' or 'least'

P.e. Ronald is the most handsome man of them all.

Tip
