The microscope
eyepiece lens = lens, magnifies 10x
tube = holds the eyepiece lens
revolver = holds the objective lenses, turns around
objective lenses = lenses hold by the revolver. Magnify 4x, 10x and 40x
stage = holds the slide
arm = used to hold the microscope when carrying
focus knob = lets you move the stage up and down. This helps you focus the image. There is a coarse and a fine knob.
lamp = source of light
base = this is the base the microscope stands on

Place your object on the stage
Make sure the stage is down and the red lens is above the stage
Turn the stage up with the coarse focusing knob while looking through the lens
When the image is in focus you can switch to the yellow lens
Only use the fine focusing knob to adjust the stage
Turn to the red lens, turn the stage all the way down and remove the object
