Make a Mindmap 
Work in Two Groups:

  1. Talk About Holidays: Tell your group what you usually do during the holidays. Where do you like to go? What activities do you enjoy? Do you participate in any sports or other activities?
  2. Make a Mind Map: Together, draw a mind map that includes things you discussed  (A mind map is a drawing that shows your ideas and how they are connected.)
  3. Share Your Work: Show your mind map to the other team. Choose to talk about the five best elements from your map that you want to highlight.

Strategies/ Strategieën
  • Recycling: Use the information from the assignment instructions

  • Looking up words: Look up words, not entire sentences
  • Writing goals and audience: Think about what you want to do with your text. Write short sentences and focus on clear structure and simple language.

  • Write an email to a family member you haven’t seen in a while. Tell them what’s been happening in your life, share your plans for the upcoming holiday, and ask if they’d like to spend time together during the break

  • Instructions:
Update them on any recent events in your life (school, work, hobbies).
Mention your holiday plans, be specific (travel, family gatherings, etc.).
Invite them to do something together, like having dinner or going on a trip.

  • Tips: Use clear sentences. Make your message friendly and easy to understand.
