First: (un)countable nouns

A noun can be countable and uncountable 

countable nouns you can count 

3 oranges or a few  chairs.

 

uncountable nouns are a little more vague, concepts

you can have so much milk or very little patience

which is which?

Write down for yourself which of these are countable and uncountable 

water - door - cake - pain - bike - cheese - milk - money - window - pencil - time - garbage - furniture - book

much/many and few/little

much/many say if something is a lot

few/little say if there isn't a lot

much/little are for uncountable words

many/few are for countable words

a lot of/lots of can always be used
