Light is a form of radiation: a small amount of energy. When light bounces of a surface into your eye, you can see that object.

You eye has a bunch of different parts on the outside. The light goes through your pupil in your eye. Your pupil can change in size, depending on the amount of light.

Retina
Your retina is the part where the nerve cells convert the stimulus to a impulse. You have 2 different types of nerve cells in your eye: rods (black and white) and cones (colour).

Glasses
Sometimes your lens can't make a sharp image. In that case, you can get extra lenses (glasses). When you are shortsighted you can see up close and you need a concave lens. When you are farsighted, you ned convex lenses (reading glasses).
