Belangrijkste om te onthouden:
- Kijk eerst goed in welke tijd de active zin staat. De passive zin moet namelijk in dezelfde tijd. (I wash/I washed)
- Kijk dan naar het lijdend voorwerp van de zin. (dat ding dat niks doet.) zet deze dan vooraan de passive zin.
- Gebruik dan een vorm van 'to be' in de juiste tijd + voltooid deelwoord (grammar 2.5 dus).
- Maak dan de rest van de zin af.
