Homophones: woorden die dezelfde uitspraak hebben maar een andere betekenis hebben

(Fouten die een spellchecker er niet uit zou halen)

They're / Their / There

They're -> verkorte vorm van "they are"

Their -> bezittelijk voornaamwoord: van "they"

There -> geeft een 'plaats' aan

Then / Than

Then -> geeft tijd of consequentie aan

Than -> gebruik je bij een vergelijking. Vb: better than

Where, Were, We're

Where -> vragend voornaamwoord voor 'plaats'

Were -> verleden tijd van are, 'to be'

We're -> verkortte vorm van "we are"

You're / Your

You're -> verkorte vorm van "you are"

Your -> bezittelijk voornaamwoord: van "you"

Too -> betekent "ook", of geeft "heel veel" aan
