Plurals 

• Rule 1: add 's' to make it plural (chair-chairs; table-tables; snack-snacks)
• Rule 2: add 'es' with words ending with letters -s, -x, -ch or -sh
• example: bus-buses; church-churches; box-boxes; dish-dishes
• Rule 3: add 'es' with words ending with consonant + ,-o 
• Example: hero-heroes; tomato-tomatoes; echo-echoes; 
• Rule 4: words ending with -f/fe become - ves (leaf -  leaves; knife -knives;)
• Rule 5:  words ending with consonant + -y become -ies
• example: party - parties; baby - babies; puppy - puppies
