At the end of this lesson:

- You will know how and when to use the past simple.

- Know about one country's food culture 

Contents of the lesson:

Grammar, listening, food culture: research, writing, presentations.

Look at the video. Make students aware that the examples are in the past simple and after watching the question "what is the past simple" will be asked. They try to figure it out by watching the video

Simple past

When talking about something that happened in the past.

Positive: just one word, second in row (walk, WALKED, walked - go - WENT - gone)

- I walked to school yesterday

- She went to a party last week

Negative: didn't + hele werkwoord

- I didn't walk to school yesterday

- She didn't go to a party last week.

Question: Did at front of sentence + hele werkwoord

- Did you walk to school yesterday?

- Did she go to a party last week?
