Vergelijkingen - comparisons

Twee manieren: 

1.  -er / -est
2. more / most

manier 1: -er/ -est

Voor bijvoeglijk naamwoorden van 1 of 2 ( -le, -er, -ow, -y) lettergrepen. 

• adjective: cool
• comparative (vergrotende trap): cooler than
• superlative (overtreffende trap): the coolest

Let op! adjectives die op -y eindigen. happy - happier - happiest.

manier 2: more/ most

Alle andere bijvoeglijk naamwoorden van 2 of meer lettergrepen. 

• adjective: beautiful
• comparative: more beautiful
• superlative: most beautiful
