Present continuous vs. present simple

present continuous:

a. The water in the kettle is boiling.

b. He is playing football right now.

Vorm: am/are/is werkwoord + -ing

Gebruik: als iets nu bezig is en een tijdje duurt

present simple:

a. Water boils at 100 degrees celsius.

b. He plays football every Saturday.

Vorm: hele werkwoord; bij he/she/it hele werkwoord + s

Gebruik: bij feiten en gewoontes

He is listening to music at the moment. 

He often listens to music.
