What are the requirements of an email?

Email requirements:

- Subject (usually one)

- The message is short and clear.

- Make sure all the relevant information is there.

- Think about the goal of your message.

Grammar: some

Some gebruik je in bevestigende zinnen:

 - We received some complaints yesterday.

Vragen waarop je denkt dat het antwoord ja is:

 - Could you give me some advice?

Wanneer je iemand iets aanbiedt:

 - Would you like some coffee?

Grammar: any

Any gebruik je bij ontkennende zinnen:

 - We haven’t got any coffee left.

Bij de meeste vragen:

 - Do you have any more coffee?

 - Are there any questions?

Grammar: any & every

Het verschil tussen any en every:

Any: iedere / willekeurige:

 - You can come any day of the week.

Every: letterlijk alle:

 - I see her every day of the week.

Grammar: no

No kun je gebruiken als afgekorte vorm van ''not any''.

- There isn't any coffee in the kitchen.

- There's no coffee in the kitchen.
