The North Atlantic Treaty Organization is an alliance of North America and European democracies. Members of NATO, also known as allies, agreed to help each other. Together they signed the Washington treaty and established NATO. The NATO also established the PfP (partnership for peace). Military forces from NATO and their Partner countries together, serve peacekeeping operations to prevent fighting
