On, at & in can be used as both prepositions of time & place.

On is for days & dates. 

In is for months, years, seasons and parts of the day.

At is for specific times of day and holidays

Prepositions of place

On is for surfaces, public transport, roads/rivers/streets.

In is for general places, cities/countries and things inside an area or space

At is for specific locations or particular places.
