Plants make their own food using sunlight,
water, and carbon dioxide
How do they use these things to make food?

Plants contain
Chlorophyll
that soaks up sunlight and also makes the plant green.
First, the plant soaks up water and carbon dioxide.
Then, sunlight creates a process carbohydrates (food) that the plant needs for energy.
As a result of the plant creating food, its also cnverts carbon dioxide into oxygen.
