Past Simple
You form the past simple if you want to talk about actions or events that happened at a certain time in the past. The action or event is finished. There is no connection with the present.

To use the past simple, you add –ed to a regular verb.
If the verb already ends in –e (like ‘race’ in the example below), then you just add –d instead.
We looked cool in our sunglasses.
I waited in line at the airport.
