Today's lesson aims

I will start revising some English I already learned last year

- We will talk about the verb: To be ( 10 minutes)

- We will do some exercises together ( 15 minutes)

- We will repeat the alphabet (3 minutes)

Zijn = To Be

Most important verb in the English language, also the hardest.

To be is het hele, onvervoegde werkwoord. 

Bij Nederlands heet dit het infinitief 

in het het Engels the infinitive

I am = I'm 

He/she/it is = He's/she's/It's 

They/we are = They're/we're 

I am not ----- I'm not

He is not ----- He isn't

We are not ---- We aren't

Let op, bij vragen komt het werkwoord to be vooraan te staan.

She is hungry ----- Is she hungry?
