A--> niet specifiek (voor medeklinkers)  (a palace, a university)

The imperative

Je gebruikt het werkwoord zonder TO om richtingen, taken, adviezen of waarschuwingen te zeggen. 

Don't kan er wel voor.

--> Walk that way!

--> Don't clean your room!

--> Buy a new backpack.

Wat weet je nog over de present simple?

Present simple

Je gebruikt de present simple om te praten over feiten en gewoonten.

Examples:

1. ‘I walk to the busstop every Monday.’

2. ‘We go to school.’

Present Continuous

Om te praten over iets wat nu gebeurt. 

Examples: 

I am cooking dinner at the moment.

We're feeding our pets right now.

The cat is sitting on the table.

Present Continuous

Hoe maak je de present continuous?                 

am/are/is + werkwoord + -ing. 

Example:

I am watching TikTok right now.

Wanneer gebruik je am/are/is?

Let op!

1. Als een woord eindigt op een klinker+medeklinker, dan verdubbeld de laatste letter.

Example:

(Sit) They are sitting in the classroom.

2. Als een werkwoord eindigt op een -e, dan moet de -e weg en wordt het -ing.

Example: 

(Prepare) She is preparing food.

My sister ________(brush) her teeth.
