What are we looking for:

Materials & Method:

OUTSTANDING - 3 PNTS

Materials in list form, including amounts and pictures. Procedure concisely stated in numbered steps, present tense, complete sentences. Procedures have been clearly defined in set-up, care and data collection. Safety and environmental considerations mentioned.

What are we looking for:

• All materials all clearly defined and amounts are indicates in all instances.
• Procedures are written in short clear and numbered steps.
• Procedures are divided into appropriate categories, each with there own set of sets.
• Safety and environmental points of attention are mentioned and solutions are offered.

Data Collections & Observations:

OUTSTANDING - 6 PNTS

Observations from the experiment are complete and well categorised. Measurements/data listed in tables with correct labeling. Graphs of data when necessary, with title and labels on axes and a clear and concise. accompanying text. There is a very good stop motion video of the plant in the light and the plant in the dark.

What are we looking for:

• Does it have the stop motion video's?
• Does it have graphs and tables.
• Do all graphs and tables have a title and an accompanying text.
• Are all graphs and titles relevant to the guiding question and hypothesis.
• Is there a brief analysis of the collected data included. 

Conclusion, Discussion & Evaluation:

OUTSTANDING - 9 PNTS

Conclusion gives a very good and clear reference to the hypothesis and observations, along with detailed explanations. Explains whether the findings support the hypothesis and explains why clearly. Debates what went well and what did not and evaluates how this research could be improved in the future. Reflects very well upon own behaviour as possible influences on the results of this experiment.

What are we looking for:

• Does the conclusion refer and mention the guiding questions and hypothesis again.
• Is the acceptance or rejection of the hypothesis explained based on findings?
• Does the discussion contains a clear reflection and what could be improved upon.
• Does the evaluation contain a clear reflection?
• Does this chapter contains clear instructions for improvements and/or further ideas for experiments. 

Presentation:

OUTSTANDING - 3 PNTS

The website is very clearly set-up and well organised. There is a clear balance between images and text. Everything in the website matches, same colour palet and fonts have been used. ALL REQUIRED ELEMENTS ARE PRESENT AND IN THE CORRECT PLACE.

What are we looking for:

• Front page with a clear title and basic info.
• Is there and interactive index?
• Everything in Arial 12 (except titles)
• Everything is written in the present (passive) tense.
• Very little adjectives and adverbs are used.
• There is a clear lay-out and good colour palette.

5. Last year we briefly mentioned perfect and imperfect flowers and the differences between the two. Perfect flowers have both male and female reproductive organs and imperfect flowers only have one set of reproductive organs. Kiwi plants have imperfect flowers, the following questions are about a kiwi farmer.
