Chapter 17

Piper and Daisy got a clear idea of what was going on in the world now, because they lived with an army family. Mrs. Jane McEvoy was sad, because she missed her son.

Mrs. McEvoy was proud of her husbands work. In chapter 17 the McEvoys tell Piper and Daisy all about horrific things happening in the war.

Chapter 18

Daisy feels she has been in contact with Edmond all this time. She often thought about him, could feel him, hear him and smell him.

She talked to Edmond all the time as well. Daisy doesn't believe in spirits, but does believe this is real.

What happened with the McEvoy's son?
