You are going to create learning material about each grammar aspect of Chapter 2, Stepping Stones:
  • Auxiliary Verbs
  • Present Perfect
  • Prepositions
  • Active & Passive Voice

Instructions
  • Form 6 groups (about 5 people per group).
  • You will be given a grammar sheet.
  • Create a poster about the rules, with examples. You can do a powerpoint too.
  • Some of the groups will create exercises. You can use word or powerpoint also. 
  • Teach the rule to the class. 
  • Use your classmates' exercises.

  • Explain the rule clearly and simply.
  • Give examples.
  • Spelling, grammar and punctuation must be correct!
  • Stepping Stones: Present perfect, p. 102-103, prepositions p. 104, active & passive p. 118-119

Creating Exercises
  • Use the worksheets and your book to help you.
  • Don't copy questions directly out of Stepping Stones. You can use the worksheet questions.
  • Make different types of questions, e.g. fill in, write sentences, form words (worth about 10-15 marks)
  • Don't make too many open-ended questions.
  • Remember an answer key!
  • Be creative to show you understand the rules.
