Hoe werkt het examen?

- +/- 10 min voorbereidingstijd 
- Papier met steekwoorden + opdrachtpapier toegestaan
- Tijdens een gesprek, bereidt een ander zich voor

When you can't remember the word; give a description.

Ask a question when you "get stuck"

Tips to improve fluency

• Think aloud
• Start speaking, then think about what you are going to say
• Fill silence
• Let the other one speak again
• Use words from your language, then explain them
• Use vague language

Think aloud

• I really don't know what to say.
• I was following the question until ...
• I really don't know where to start.
• What part of the question should I answer first?

Start speaking....then think

Fill the silence

• That's a difficult/unusual/interesting question.

Use words from your language/explain

 I don't know how to say this in English but there is an expression in my language.....

Use vague language

• I suppose...

Practising

• Form pairs and look at the speech cards
  
  
• Choose at least 4 and decide on the roles (switch roles with each speech card)
  
  
• Write a short script for each card (both roles) and act it out
