Present Perfect
Je gebruikt de present perfect als iets in het verleden is begonnen en nu nog steeds aan de gang is, of als het resultaat nu merkbaar is 

Signaalwoorden: for, yet, never, ever, just, already, since (ezelsbruggetje: FYNEJAS)

Present Perfect
Je vormt de present perfect op de volgende manier:
+   have/has + voltooid deelwoord (-ed of 3e rijtje)
     I have never been to New York/ She has just walked 2 miles 
-   haven't/hasn't + voltooid deelwoord (-ed of 3e rijtje)
     I haven't been there yet / He hasn't played Fortnite for a week
?   have /has + voltooid deelwoord (-ed of 3e rijtje) en inversie
     Have you already done that? / Has it worked?

Past Simple
  • als iets in het verleden is begonnen en in het verleden is afgelopen

  • er staat vaak een signaalwoord in de zin dat aangeeft dat het gaat om een afgeronde handeling
Present Perfect
  • als iets in het verleden is begonnen en nu nog steeds aan de gang is
  • om te praten over ervaringen
  • als iets in het verleden is gebeurd en dat je daarvan nu nog het resultaat merkt
