  • Listen carefully to what they say, make notes and summarise if necessary (So, I need to take these pills 2 times a day, is that correct? )
  •  Health and technical instructions: Difficult vocabulary. Get the bigger picture. You don't have to understand every word.
  • Ask the speaker to repeat or slow down if you don't understand (could you repeat that, please? Could you please slow down a bit? )
  • With rules and instructions words like firstly, secondly, next , then and finally are very important to understand in which order you do things
