Conditionals

When: 

We use the third conditional to describe a situation that didn't happen, and to imagine the result of this situation.

If I had studied harder, I would have passed the test (but I didn't, so I failed) 

Fill the gaps, use the Third Conditional:
If he (study) harder, he (pass) the exam.

1. had studied - had passed
2. studied - passed
3. had studied-would have passed
4. would have studied - had passed

Third conditional: If we ... (arrive) earlier, we ...(see) John but we were much too late.

1. arrived, saw
2. had arrived, would see

Third conditional: If they ........... (go) to bed earlier, they ........... (not sleep) late.

1. went / wouldn't have slept

Third conditional: If we .............. (know) the test was this hard, we .......... (study) harder

1. had known / had studied

Third conditional:

Third conditional:
