Time to learn from your writing test!

- Look at the comments made on your writing task

- Write down 3 things you want/need to improve

- Write down any questions you have in a notebook/laptop

- I will walk around, please wait your turn 

Make sure you learn from your mistakes: Period 2 has another writing test

Dictionary Race

I will show you a word from an exam text on the board

- You will look up the word as fast as possible using a dictionary

- Raise your hand as soon as you have it

- You will read it aloud for the class

Reading Practise

What would you like to achieve by practising with an exam?

Step by Step: MC questions

1. Read the title

2. Look at the pictures + other aspects that stand out

3. Read the (first) question (not the answers!)

4. Read the part of the text that goes with the question

5. Think of the answer and see if it's one of the options

6. If it isn't, eliminate the ones that are definitely incorrect

7. Choose between what's left, perhaps read the paragraph again

8. Repeat steps 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 until all the questions are answered

9. New text: start at step 1

Keep in mind what your strategy is during this task (step 1, 2, 3, etc.) You will be asked about it at some stage.
