What is the Present Simple?

The Present Simple is an English tense.
A normal present simple sentence looks like this:

                   We eat french fries every Sunday.

What is the present simple?

The Present Simple is used for facts, habits and routines. You can recognise them by looking at signal words

Signal words for the Present Simple are words like everyday, never, always, every Wednesday, often.  They tell you if it's a routine or if it happens often.

If there are no signal words, the sentence tells you a fact.
