Hongerwinter

The South of NL was liberated, the North was cut off from supplies

-30 degrees

hunger, lack of fuel for warmth. 

• Several causes of the Hungerwinter 

1. No supply of coal from the mines of Limburg (already liberated)  
   
2. Railway strike
3. ..Revenge: Germans blocked the supply lines and sea to NL
4. - 30 degrees Celcius for 3 months!
