This lesson we are going to discuss the present simple and present continuous

 Do not write on the first two pages of your notebook. 

Then number the pages 1 - 30! On top of page 1 write in capital letters: INTRODUCTION UNIT

Present Simple

In NL: gewone tegenwoordige tijd.

BV Hij denkt aan het proefwerk

He thinks of the test.

Stappenplan -es/-ies/-s (SHIT)

1. Staat er een sisklank (sh/ch/ss/x) dan komt bij shit +es .

2. Eindigt het werkwoord op een -y met een medeklinker ervoor (b,d,f,g,h enz.), dan komt er bij shit +ies .

3. Is dit allemaal niet van toepassing: dan +s

Present simple negative

Bij de SHIT woorden: doesn't + hele ww

vb She doesn't drink her tea.

Bij alle andere woorden: don't + hele ww

vb They don't drink their tea.

Make negative:
Kevin ............(play) basketball

1. doesn't play
2. don't play

Make negative:
Andrew and Martyn ........(wash) the dishes

1. doesn't wash
2. don't wash

Negative form:
The bank ........(close) at ten o'clock

Make negative:
I ...........(enjoy) travelling.

Negatief en vragend (aantekening)

Negatief met "not": deze zet je tussen de werkwoorden in 

VB: He is not working on his homework.

Vragend maken: Je zet het eerste werkwoord vooraan

VB: Is he working on his homework?

Messi is playing football.
