Most nouns have a plural. Not all nouns.

How do you do this?

1 you need to change the subject into a plural subject
2 you need to change the verb and conjugate into a plural form

De moeder leest een boek.

Avoid this common mistake

lopen, liggen, rijden, varen are irregular verbs. That means they change in the past tense.

lopen-liep-gelopen (to walk, walked, have walked)
liggen-lag-gelegen (to lie, lay, have lain)

rijden-reed-gereden (to drive, drove, driven)

NEVER loopten, ligten, rijdten

Change verb in the plural back to singular-how?

De auto rijdt op de straat.

De auto's ....... op de straat.
De bal rolt weg.

De ballen ........ weg.
