Humble Beginnings
Nixon attended Whittier College (Whittier, California)to stay home to help take care of his sick father and his store
After graduating summa cum laude with a bachelors in History Nixon attended Duke University School of Law
While at Duke Nixon became known a a great debater and was chosen elected the President of the University's Bar Association
After graduating from duke in 1937 he had hopes of joining the FBI but was turned down due to budget cuts

Nixon was admitted to the California Bar in 1937
He started out dealing with corporate cases and wills for Wingert and Bewley
In 1938 He opened his own branch in the company and became a full partner the next year
