What is the difference between the active and passive voice?

If you want to emphasise what happened, or do not know who did something, you can use the passive voice

Past Participle
The past participle is a verb form 
Primarily used for creating perfect tenses and the passive voice.

 It often ends in -ed, -d, -t, -en, or -n, depending on the verb.

Active Voice

The subject of the sentence performs the action described by the verb. The focus is on who does the action. This voice is clearer and more direct.

Example:
The Teacher sent the student out of the classroom
In this sentence, the teacher does the action.

Passive Voice

In the passive voice, the subject of the sentence receives the action rather than performing it. The focus is often on the action itself, rather than who is doing it.

Structure: Object + Form of "to be" + Past Participle + extra info + (by Subject)

Example:
"The student was sent out of the classroom by the teacher."
Here, the emphasis is on the student, who is receiving the action.
