Present continuous: when do you use this? 

Als je wilt zeggen dat iets bezig is op het moment dat je erover praat of schrijft. 

The rule? 

Een vorm van to be + hele werkwoord + -ing

Vorm van to be (Am, Are, is) + walk + Ing

For example: I am walking. 

The sentences: 

1. He’s walking towards me.
   
2. I am driving to school.
   
3. I am watching TV right now.
   
4. Is Paul visiting his grandparents today?
   
5. Are they moving to New York?

 

At the moment, now, right now, today.

Present simple: when do you use this? 

Als je wilt zeggen dat iets altijd, nooit of regelmatig gebeurt. Ook gebruiken we dit als we over feiten praten.

The rule?

Often, never, always, every day/week/year/hour etc.
