Nature and climate

Nature in Thailand is very different from 

the nature in the Netherlands  

--> Tropical rainforest : Always hot and a lot of precipitation.

                                                 Trees grow in layers

                                                 Always green deciduous trees

                                                 Heterogeneous forest.

Hot and humid

The main crop in the lowland is rice.

There are a lot of ricefields.

Thai Culture

Culture is everything you learn when you grow up.

Culture consists of different characteristics:

• the way people dressed
• religion  (Buddhism, reincarnation)
• food (pig's head, tropical fruit)
• language (Thai)
• streetview (temples, Buddha, monks)
• .....

A few things of the Thai culture are the same as in the Netherlands.

For example:

• The big shoppings malls in the modern neighbourhoods of Bangkok with the European clothes.

Culture and people

The largest part of the population in Thailand 

belongs to the Thai people.

There are also other peoples who live in Thailand 

• In the edges of Thailand
• In the mountains
• Many Chinese live in the big cities.
