  • Algemene regel: + -s
  • Woorden op een sis-klank: + -es
  • Woorden die eindigen op een medeklinker en -y: -ies
  • Woorden die eindigen op -f of -fe: -ves

  • Cliff, handcuff, earmuff
  • Regel: + -s
  • Cliffs, handcuffs, earmuffs

  • Regel: meestal een -s, maar soms -es. Woorden die eindigen op een klinker +  -o krijgen altijd een -s achter het woord.
