Explain the difference between a Hard Disk Drive (HDD) and a Solid-State Drive (SSD)

Slide 11 - Open question

A Hard Disk Drive (HDD) is a traditional storage device that uses spinning magnetic disks (platters) to store data. A read/write head moves across the platters to access or write data.

A Solid-State Drive (SSD), on the other hand, has no moving parts and uses flash memory to store data electronically. This makes it much faster than an HDD.
