The world's problems?

Ask students to name as many different issues that they think the world is facing.

193 members of the United Nations unanimously agreed on 17 interlinked global goals to be achieved by 2030 as "blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all". 

By which year do the SDGs have to be achieved?

SDG stands for

1. Super Development Goals
2. Sustainable Development Goals
3. Sustainable Do Goals
4. Sustainable Development Go

Look for the 17 SDGs

1. Form a group of 4

2. Look online and find the 17 SDGs

3. Write them down on the paper you have in front of you

Ranking the 17 SDGs

Look again at the goals you wrote down.  Think about which 5 you think are the most important for the world.  

Highlight these 5 goals on your paper.

Link the SDG's to World news

Look again at the goals you wrote down.  Go online and find out what is currently big news and link this to one of the SDG's.
