1. Present simple (feiten, gewoontes, dingen dat we met regelmaat doen)

2. Present Continuous (als iet nu aan de gang is)

Something happens suddenly 

(iets gebeurt op eens)

The marshmellows are talking. -> it is going on for a longer period of time

Suddenly, a man takes one mashmellow and eats it.  -> op eens!! (So it happens in a second and it is not going on for a longer period of time)
